The load must not impair vehicle stability. Position and secure it safely so it cannot fall, move dangerously, obscure lights or plates, or cause avoidable nuisance. Sideways projection is not forbidden in every case: for a vehicle less than one metre wide, the limit is 0.50 metres on each side of the longitudinal axis, subject to the other conditions of Article 15.
