It must be approved for two places and have the specified passenger seat and footrests. Passenger authorisation must be recorded in the vehicle documents. Exceeding 125 cm³ or fitting a sidecar is not required. The passenger must also meet applicable age, helmet and positioning rules: sit astride, with feet on the footrests and on the seat behind the rider, never between the rider and handlebars.
