It is not exempt from lighting: Article 23.5 of the General Vehicle Regulations requires front and rear position lights and non-triangular rear reflectors at night, in tunnels or with substantially reduced visibility. Single lights are placed on the left; lights on both sides are arranged symmetrically. Do not assume all animal-drawn vehicles lawfully have no lights or that other vehicle types are always clearly visible.
