Correct answer
Jaw-thrust manoeuvre
Jaw thrust. Loss of muscle tone can contribute to airway obstruction; the casualty does not intentionally cause their own suffocation. Call 112, follow instructions and minimise neck movement; opening the airway takes priority when necessary. If unresponsive and not breathing normally, begin CPR following emergency-service guidance. Knowing the name does not replace training to perform the manoeuvre.
