Since 1 October 2026, article 122.2 also includes people pushing or pulling a cycle, a two-wheeled moped or vehicles with similar characteristics, groups led by a person, and pedestrians who should not travel on the left for safety reasons. Outside these exceptions, article 122.1 specifies the usable left shoulder or, failing that, the carriageway, as far from traffic as possible. Wheelchair use is no longer listed as a specific category in paragraph 2.
