Buses wider than 2.10 metres must have end-outline marker lights: two white at the front and two red at the rear. Fitting them is optional for widths between 1.80 and 2.10 metres. Having them fitted does not mean keeping them on at all times: they must be switched on with the position lights between sunset and sunrise, in tunnels and when conditions significantly reduce visibility.
