The V-6 long-vehicle sign applies to vehicles or vehicle combinations longer than 12 metres and is fitted at the rear. Exactly 12 metres does not exceed the threshold. It is not compulsory for every lorry or exclusively for vehicles towing trailers: total vehicle or combination length determines the requirement.
