Five years, under article 12.1 of the General Driver Regulations. C and D group licences, including D+E, ordinarily remain valid for five years below age 65 and three from that age. Health reasons under paragraph 3 may shorten this period. Apply for renewal before expiry if you wish to continue driving: an expired licence does not authorise driving.
