BDifficulty 2/5

Your car’s load projects rearwards within permitted limits. What marking must it always carry?

Correct answer

Signal it with panels with red and white stripes.

A V-20 red-and-white striped panel at the rear end of the load, perpendicular to the vehicle’s axis. If it projects along the full rear width, use two panels, one at each end, with their stripes forming an inverted V. That arrangement concerns the pair, not each individual panel. At night or in substantially reduced visibility, add a red light. Marking does not permit exceeding load limits.
