What it means
The S-27 sign indicates roadside assistance. It informs of the existence or direction of a point where help related to travel incidents can be obtained, without by itself authorising improper manoeuvres or replacing stopping and parking rules. It usually appears on roads, service areas, isolated stretches, or accesses where the driver may need assistance. When you see it, decide in advance whether you need to go to the service, signal any exit, and do not brake unexpectedly. In the test it is usually classified as a service sign and distinguished from emergency telephones, repair workshops, or specific equipment.
