Article 54.2 requires 50 metres for vehicles exceeding 3,500 kg MAM or 10 metres in length. Paragraph 3 exempts built-up areas, prohibited overtaking, more than one own-direction lane and saturated traffic. Always also maintain enough distance to stop without collision.
