They must wear it while the bus is moving, on urban and interurban roads. A short journey does not remove the requirement. The question excludes legal exemptions and concerns an adult: apply the specific child-restraint rules when relevant. On buses with more than nine places, passengers must be informed of the requirement through the prescribed means, such as announcements, signs or visible pictograms.
