Correct answer
Mandatory sign
It is a mandatory sign. R-412 prohibits proceeding without snow chains or other authorised anti-slip devices acting on at least one wheel on each side of the same driven axle, or special snow tyres. Do not confuse R-412 with R-412b, which requires special winter tyres. Current Annex VII requirements and traffic restrictions must be observed.
