Correct answer
I will drive behind, keeping a safe distance until I can overtake.
Adapt speed and keep a gap that allows you to stop without collision if the vehicle ahead brakes suddenly. Do not pressure the novice driver by tailgating or using lights or the horn to make them accelerate, and do not overtake on the shoulder. Wait until overtaking is permitted and safe. The ban on signals used to pressure the driver does not exclude a lawful warning needed to prevent a possible accident. On this stretch where overtaking is prohibited, the additional 50-metre gap under Article 54.2 is not required for that purpose, but the safe stopping gap under Article 54.1 remains mandatory.
