AMDifficulty 2/5

How many points can a driver have at most?

Correct answer

15 points.

The maximum balance is 15 points. This is not everyone’s starting balance: generally it is 12, and in specified cases 8. Article 63 provides two bonus points over the first three years and one over the next three when retaining points without final administrative sanctions for offences. Qualifying safe and efficient driving courses can also award points without exceeding 15. This is not simply about any offence or a requirement never to have lost points in one’s lifetime.
