As a general rule, use the right-hand lane. On a carriageway outside built-up areas with more than one lane in your direction, other lanes may be used when circumstances warrant, without obstructing following vehicles under Article 31. Do not always remain in the centre or choose any free lane merely for convenience. You may remain in an overtaking lane for another overtake when Article 83.1 conditions are met; observe reserved lanes and signs too.
