Yes. The general arrangement requires two visible at the front, white, and two at the rear, red, when width exceeds 2.10 metres. Between 1.80 and 2.10 metres they are optional. The requirement is not exclusive to buses. This question concerns an ordinary complete-bodied lorry; rear outline lights are optional on chassis-cabs, and other categories can have different rules.
