Correct answer
To allow the cooling of the liquid coming from the engine.
The coolant keeps the engine at its optimum operating temperature. To do this, the coolant absorbs high temperatures from the engine, so it needs to be cooled. This is done by the radiator. When the coolant reaches a certain temperature, the circuit opens so that it flows to the radiator, where it is cooled before circulating again through the water jackets.
