DDifficulty 1/5

You drive a bus on a street within a built-up area that is not a motorway or dual carriageway. There are three lanes in your direction marked by longitudinal lines, with no specific restrictions. Which lane may you use?

Correct answer

The one that best suits your destination.

You may use the lane that best suits your destination, provided you do not obstruct other vehicles, under Article 33. Do not change lanes without a reason: change to prepare a turn, overtake, stop or park, respecting priority in the lane you intend to enter and signalling. This rule does not extend to motorways or dual carriageways within built-up areas and does not allow reserved-lane restrictions or signs to be ignored.
