What it means
The S-26b sign is an approach panel to an exit located 200 m before it. It informs you of the remaining distance to an exit and helps you prepare the manoeuvre in time, especially on roads where speed and traffic density require anticipation. It is usually placed before exits on motorways, dual carriageways, or other roads with deceleration lanes or signed divergences. When you see it, confirm whether that is your exit, check mirrors, signal in advance, and change lanes only when safe. In the test they often ask the meaning of the distance, and you should not interpret it as an immediate obligation to exit.
