What it means

The S-28 sign indicates a residential street. It informs of an area where the road is shared with special presence of pedestrians, play, home accesses, and coexistence with vehicles, so you must drive with reinforced attention and respect the priority and limitations proper to that environment. It usually appears when entering neighbourhoods, residential estates, or traffic-calmed streets designed for local traffic. When you see it, moderate your speed greatly, avoid sudden manoeuvres, and be ready to give way to vulnerable users.
