Correct answer
A class D licence.
A D licence is required. A tourist train is a non-agricultural special vehicle or combination used to carry people. Article 5.8 of the General Driver Regulations requires B for up to nine people including the driver, D1 for more than nine but no more than seventeen, and D for more than seventeen. Do not automatically apply D+E merely because it has wagons. The train’s circulation authorisations are an additional matter.
