What it means
The S-60a sign informs of a fork to the left on a two-lane carriageway. It anticipates that the road will divide and that you must choose in time between continuing in the main direction or taking the left branch. It usually appears before links, exits, accesses, or stretches where a late lane decision may create conflicts. When you see it, read the associated destinations, check mirrors, and position yourself progressively in the appropriate lane. In the test they often ask which side the fork goes to and that it is not a danger sign or a narrowing of the carriageway.
