What it means
The S-10 sign indicates the end of an advised speed range. From that point the previous recommendation to travel within a specific range no longer applies, although mandatory limits, later signs, and the prudence required by traffic or the road remain in force. It usually appears at the end of the stretch where the range was useful because of layout, flow, roadworks, or special conditions. When you see it, adapt your speed to the new context without interpreting that you may accelerate freely. In the test it is often distinguished from the end of an advised maximum speed and from the end of a mandatory limitation.
