What it means
The S-574 sign corresponds to myriametric markers on motorways, dual carriageways, conventional roads, and toll motorways. It provides a route location reference on a larger scale than the ordinary kilometre marker, helping you locate yourself and report an incident precisely. It does not order any manoeuvre or by itself change the road category. It usually appears on the edges of different types of road as orientation and maintenance support. When you see it, use it as a reference and continue paying attention to the signs on the stretch. In the test they often ask that it is a location marker, not a mandatory sign.
