Sign S-900: Peligro of incendio

What it means

The S-900 sign warns of fire danger. It informs of an area where fire risk is relevant and requires extra caution with cigarette ends, stops, breakdowns, hot exhausts, or other conduct that could start or worsen a fire. It usually appears in woodland, forest areas, dry zones, national parks, or accesses where traffic coexists with vulnerable vegetation. When you see it, avoid stopping on dry grass, do not throw objects, and follow any additional signed restriction. In the test they often distinguish it from the sign locating a fire extinguisher, because here the message is risk, not available equipment.
