What it means
The S-270 sign gives advance notice of two exits very close together. It warns that you will find successive exits with little separation between them, so you must identify your destination and position yourself in advance to avoid rushed lane changes. It usually appears on motorways, dual carriageways, ring roads, or urban links where several slip roads follow in a short space. When you see it, read both destinations, keep distance, and decide before reaching the first exit. In the test they often ask that it does not announce a single double exit, but two nearby exits requiring anticipation and careful reading of signs.
