What it means
The S-50c sign informs of lanes reserved for traffic according to the signed speed. It means each lane is associated with a speed condition, so you must choose and use the lane according to the signs shown and the actual traffic. It usually appears on multi-lane roads where traffic is organised to improve flow, safety, or separation between vehicles travelling at different paces. When you see it, observe the speeds indicated over each lane, plan changes in time, and avoid occupying an incompatible lane. In the test they often check that you do not confuse it with a single limit for the whole carriageway.
