What it means
The S-50a sign informs of lanes reserved for traffic according to the signed speed. It visually organises which lanes correspond to certain vehicles or speeds according to the speeds shown, helping distribute traffic and avoid unnecessary changes. It usually appears on carriageways with several lanes, accesses, gradients, bypasses, or stretches where slower traffic is to be separated from traffic able to maintain a higher speed. When you see it, read each lane, position yourself in advance, and respect any associated limitation or obligation. In the test they often ask that the key is the lanes and the signed speed, not generic advice.
