Sign S-17: Parking

What it means

The S-17 sign indicates parking. It informs of a place or area where parking may be allowed, always under the conditions shown by markings, supplementary panels, times, reservations, or applicable restrictions. It does not mean that you may leave the vehicle in any manner or occupy spaces reserved for other users. It usually appears on streets, parking areas, accesses to services, or regulated zones. When you see it, check the exact scope of the authorisation before parking and respect local signing. In the test they often ask that it is an information sign and that it may be qualified by panels or markings.
