What it means
The S-18 sign indicates a place reserved for taxis. It informs of a space intended for taxi stopping, waiting, or service according to local regulation and supplementary signing, so other vehicles must not occupy it improperly. It usually appears at stations, hospitals, airports, town centres, leisure areas, or points with demand for discretionary public transport. When you see it, respect the reservation, do not use it as ordinary parking, and observe markings or panels defining the space. In the test it is often distinguished from a bus stop and from a simple parking area.
