What it means
The S-342 sign indicates an immediate exit destination toward a motorway or dual carriageway. It informs that the exit at that point leads toward a motorway or dual carriageway, so you must decide and position yourself before reaching it. It does not require you to take it if your route continues on the current road or replace lane markings. It usually appears beside the start of the slip road or in the immediate exit area. When you see it, confirm destination, signal in time, and avoid late manoeuvres. In the test it is often distinguished from advance signing: here the exit is immediate.
