What it means
The S-62a sign informs of a fork to the left on a four-lane carriageway. It anticipates that some lanes will separate to that side, so you must decide in time whether to continue in the main direction or take the fork. It usually appears on wide roads, accesses, or links where a late change may create conflicts with other vehicles. When you see it, read the associated destinations, choose your lane in advance, and avoid crossing several lanes hastily. In the test they often check that you identify the side of the fork and do not confuse it with a simple narrowing.
