What it means
The S-61a sign informs of a fork to the left on a three-lane carriageway. It indicates that one path separates on that side and that lane choice must be made in advance, observing destinations, markings, and supplementary signs. It usually appears before links, exits, slip roads, or stretches where the left lane leads to another itinerary. When you see it, confirm whether your route takes the fork, occupy the correct lane without cutting across paths, and avoid last-minute changes. In the test they often focus on the side of the fork and on the carriageway having three lanes.
