What it means
The S-510 sign indicates the end of a built-up area. It informs that the town or populated area you were travelling through ends and that from that point you must pay attention to the new road category, limits, users, and signs that appear. It does not mean that all obligations disappear or that you may change speed without checking later signing. It is usually placed at exits from towns, through roads, or urbanised areas toward outside roads. When you see it, adapt your driving progressively and observe the environment that begins. In the test it is often contrasted with entry into a built-up area and they ask which scope ceases to apply.
