What it means
The S-6 sign indicates the end of a tunnel. It informs that the covered stretch ends and that you return to an open road, where light, wind, grip, visibility, and applicable signing may change. It does not by itself cancel limits or prohibitions that remain in force through other signs. It is usually placed at the tunnel exit or immediately after it. When you see it, adapt your driving progressively, avoid glare or sudden changes, and check the later signing. In the test they often distinguish it from the tunnel start sign and ask that it only ends that tunnel condition.
