What it means
The P-10c sign warns of the nearness of a level crossing, movable bridge, or quay on the left-hand side. It indicates that the danger is already close and related to that side, so you must look to the left and prepare for immediate regulation. It may appear within the advance sequence before railway tracks, movable bridges, port areas, or quay edges. When you see it, slow down progressively, avoid overtaking if it is not safe, and be ready to stop at barriers, lights, or later signs. In the test they often ask you to distinguish nearness from approach and to note the left-hand side.
