What it means
The P-12 sign warns that an airport is nearby. It does not indicate an airport entrance, but a danger due to possible low-flying aircraft, intense noise, or distractions close to the road. It is usually placed on roads near runways or operating areas where drivers may be surprised by aircraft passing. When you see it, keep your attention on driving, avoid sudden reactions to the noise or shadow of an aircraft, and maintain your path. In the test they often check that you interpret it as a danger warning and not as a tourist service or airport direction sign.
