Sign P-15: Perfil irregular

Perfil irregular
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — P-15

What it means

The P-15 sign warns of an uneven profile. It indicates that the surface may have changes in level, waves, raised areas, dips, or other irregularities that affect stability, comfort, and braking distance, without by itself specifying one single shape of obstacle. It usually appears before stretches with deformed carriageway, traffic-calmed areas, roadworks, or points where the vehicle may pitch if you arrive too fast. When you see it, slow progressively, keep a steady path, and avoid sudden manoeuvres. In the test they often distinguish it from more specific signs such as dip, bump, or slippery pavement.
