Sign P-27: Muelle

Muelle
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — P-27

What it means

The P-27 sign warns of a quay. It means the road approaches an area with an edge, drop, or port space where there is a risk of falling or of manoeuvres related to loading, unloading, and special traffic. It does not inform of a service, but of a physical danger requiring attention. It usually appears in ports, docks, industrial areas beside water, or accesses where the carriageway may end near an edge. When you see it, moderate speed, watch the road limits, and avoid imprecise manoeuvres. In the test it is often distinguished from movable bridge or level crossing signs, although they may appear in similar sequences.
