What it means
The P-9b sign warns of the approach to a level crossing, movable bridge, or quay on the right-hand side. Its purpose is to reinforce the position of the danger when the road approaches a point laterally where there may be closures, edges, railway tracks, or special regulation. It usually appears as an approach panel on stretches where you must anticipate that the risk is on the right. When you see it, watch that side, moderate your speed, and be ready to obey later barriers, lights, markings, or signs. In the test they often ask you to distinguish it by the side indicated and by its approach function, not priority.
