What it means
The R-100 sign means traffic prohibited. It prohibits circulation on the signed stretch or access for the users affected by the sign, so you must not enter or continue if your movement is included in that prohibition. It usually appears on streets closed to traffic, restricted accesses, reserved areas, roadworks, or points where the road does not allow general circulation. When you see it, look for a permitted route and do not assume you may pass just because there is physical space. In the test it is often distinguished from no entry in the opposite direction and from signs affecting only certain vehicles.
