Sign R-409: Camino reservado para animals of montura

Camino reservado para animals of montura
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — R-409

What it means

The R-409 sign indicates a path reserved for ridden animals. It identifies a road or route intended for users travelling mounted, separating it from general traffic when the traffic layout provides for that. It should not be confused with a warning of possible animals: here the sign regulates use of the path. It usually appears in rural environments, accesses to equestrian routes, recreational areas, or spaces where that movement is channelled. When you see it, do not occupy the path improperly if you are not an affected user and pay extra attention nearby. In the test they often ask which user it is reserved for and the difference from triangular danger signs.
