Sign R-310: Advertencias acusticas prohibidas

Advertencias acusticas prohibidas
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — R-310

What it means

The R-310 sign prohibits acoustic warnings. It means you must not use the horn or other sound signals within the affected stretch, except in exceptional cases where safety makes it essential to warn of an immediate danger. It usually appears near hospitals, residential areas, sensitive centres, or places where noise must be especially limited. When you see it, drive with greater visual anticipation, keep your distance, and avoid replacing prudence with sound warnings. In the test they often check that you do not confuse it with a recommendation to be quiet: it is a regulatory prohibition on using acoustic signals.
