What it means
The R-201 sign sets a mass limitation. It prohibits passage by vehicles whose total mass exceeds the value shown on the sign, so the driver must know the real mass of the vehicle and its load before continuing. It usually appears before bridges, structures, roads, narrow streets, tunnels, roadworks, or accesses where a greater load is not admitted. When you see it, if your vehicle exceeds the limit you must choose an alternative itinerary before becoming committed. In the test they often distinguish mass from width, height, length, or mass per axle, focusing on the value shown.
