What it means
The R-101 sign means no entry. It prohibits access at the signed point in the direction from which you see it, although the road may allow traffic from the opposite direction or for other authorised movements. It is usually placed on one-way streets, exits from premises, slip roads, restricted accesses, or entrances where entering would create wrong-way traffic. When you see it, you must not pass it with your vehicle and must look for a permitted route. In the test it is often distinguished from traffic prohibited: here the key is not entering from that specific access and direction.
