What it means
The R-102 sign prohibits entry to motor vehicles. It applies to motor-powered vehicles at the signed access, so you must not enter if you are driving one of them, although non-motorised users may be authorised if there is no other restriction. It is usually placed on streets, paths, residential zones, pedestrian areas, or accesses where motor traffic is excluded. When you see it, look for a permitted route before passing it and do not interpret that you may enter for convenience. In the test they often distinguish it from prohibitions on specific vehicles and from the general traffic-prohibited sign.
