Sign R-414: Carriageway para vehicles que transporten dangerous goods

Carriageway para vehicles que transporten dangerous goods
Official Spanish DGT catalogue image — R-414

What it means

The R-414 sign indicates a carriageway for vehicles carrying dangerous goods. It requires those vehicles to use the signed carriageway when it applies to them, channelling their route along a path intended for that type of transport. It usually appears at links, forks, or accesses where dangerous goods traffic is separated from the rest for organisation and safety reasons. When you see it, if you drive an affected vehicle you must follow the indicated carriageway; if you drive another vehicle, understand that this reserved route may affect nearby movements. In the test they often distinguish it from prohibition signs, because here the sign orders a specific carriageway.
