What it means
The R-400b sign indicates a mandatory direction. It orders you to follow the direction shown by the arrow or layout of the sign at that point, without choosing another path even if it seems passable. It usually appears on islands, forks, accesses, roadworks, diversions, or areas where traffic must be channelled to avoid conflicts with other movements. When you see it, prepare your position in advance and follow the imposed direction without entering reserved spaces or making incompatible turns. In the test they often check that you treat it as a regulatory obligation, not as a route recommendation or destination information.
