What it means
The R-309 sign indicates a limited parking zone. It informs that within the signed zone parking is subject to special conditions, such as duration, authorisation, payment, timetable, or other rules indicated by panels or local regulation, without you inventing a specific condition if it is not shown. It is usually placed at accesses to urban areas, centres, regulated districts, or zones with high parking demand. When you see it, read the supplementary panels and comply with the conditions before leaving the vehicle. In the test they often expect you not to confuse it with an absolute parking prohibition or with a simple recommendation.
